A National Seminar on "Emerging Role of
Social Entrepreneurship in Economic Development: Issues, Challenges and
Strategies, was held at JIMS Kalkaji which is a top Management College in Delhi in collaboration with National Entrepreneurship Network on
12th December, 2013. The chief speakers were Ms Usha Prasad and Mr. Lalit
Bhandari, from AArohi, who are actively, engaged in Livelihood Promotion
Program me (LPP), which envisions enabling the poor to secure sustainable
livelihoods as pivotal to its development initiatives. Mr. Piyush Gupta from
EKO (India) Ltd. threw light upon innovation in the financial services rendered
to rural India. Mr. Siiraj Saxena, a famous artist working in the tribal belts
of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh spoke on creative and enterprising ways to
solve many socio-economic problems such as poverty, illiteracy, and
unemployment.
