PGDM Admission or MBA admission- A never ending Dilemma

At the time of choosing a management course most of the students are in a dilemma over whether to choose a PGDM or MBA? The solution to the dilemma lies in acknowledging one’s credentials. If one has an option of grabbing a PGDM admission in a reputed school and an MBA from not-so-reputed school, then choose former. As mentioned earlier PGDM from a reputed school like in Delhi- JIMS Kalkaji scores above than an MBA college admission in a less reputed school.

In order to choose between MBA and PGDM, one needs to know the difference between the two. The following discussion will help in understanding the difference between the two and will further help the aspirants in making the right choice MBA college admission.

The curriculum of the PGDM and MBA degrees are equivalent, although the MBA degree is examination oriented and concentrates on theoretical aspects of management whereas the PGDM is industry-oriented and mainly focuses on building soft skills. While an MBA curriculum is designed by a university, it essentially follows the university guidelines and changing this curriculum is a very slow and rigid process where as a PGDM course gives freedom to the pgdm admission to design its own curriculum. This is sometimes beneficial to the students because institutes can change the curriculum as per the industry requirements and changing business environment. A university affiliated program.

Situated in the heart of South Delhi, JIMS kalkaji is a pioneer B-school in imparting quality management education through its industry integrated highly popularized courses PGDM and PGDM(IB). The institute offers excellent curriculum taught by highly experienced and research oriented faculty and  good placement opportunities.
